Genesis 43:1

We came home from our week long trip in Chattanooga to a special treat: crunchy grass!

It is a liberating feeling to finally embrace the fact that our lawn is completely--and utterly--dead.

The previous two summers were marked by feeble attempts at watering and worrying about the grass. This summer, we were just unwilling to pay for the water or lose any sleep over it.

Well, gotta go mow the weeds. . .

Maybe we should have taken your same route! Instead, we are the ones desperately trying to keep our lawn hydrated and fight the weed battle (while these dark clouds taunt us with rain that NEVER comes!). The horror of it all!

haha, our grass is exactly the same - unfortunetly we live next to a landscaper, so it makes our yard look that much worse!

Everybody just puts a whole landscape of rocks here in the desert. Unless, you like fake grass.

We just put broken bits of seashells, I haven't seen grass for some time. As we live in the driest desert in the world...

I wonder how much it would cost to put astroturf down rather than sod? I'm all for responsibility free grass "carpet". haha I finally planted some flowers after 4 years here and it somehow takes away from the dying grass in front.
